College & Successful Careers
SEO-ScholarsSEO Scholars is a free, eight-year academic program that prepares low-income public high school students for admission to the nation’s most competitive colleges—and supports them through college graduation. We accept 9th grade students in New York City and San Francisco into our program.

In high school, SEO Scholars attend a rigorous Saturday Academy three times a month plus a month-long Summer Academy and weekly after-school classes. These 720+ hours of additional academic instruction close the achievement gap for our Scholars; our Black and Hispanic Scholars match the SAT scores of all college-bound seniors nationally at virtually every GPA level. All of our Scholars are accepted to four-year colleges and universities.

In college, we continue to support our Scholars until the day they graduate. Our highly-trained College Scholars staff of counselors, led by a L.M.S.W., supports students through every challenge they may face as first-generation college students. We provide one-on-one academic and psychosocial support, financial aid guidance, college-readiness workshops, career exploration events and internship placement. We are proud that 95% of SEO Scholars graduate college within 6 years and 80% graduate in 4 years.
